SRI RAMADASU - A HISTORIC STORY OF BHAKTA RAMADASU. GOPANNA WAS A THAHASILDAR IN THANISHA'S PERIOD. HIS FAMILY STORNGLY BELIEVES IN LORD SRI RAMA. GOPANNA WANTS TO BUILD A TEMPLE FOR RAMA, IN A REMOTE PLACE WHERE HE FOUND THE RAMA VIGRAHA. HE WILL COLLECTS THE FUND FOR BUILDING TEMPLE, THEN HE WILL BUILD THE TEMPLE. THANISHA WILL GET ANGRY , AS WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION GOPANNA BUILD THE TEMPLE. SO GOPANNA WILL BE SENT TO PRISON. THEN WHAT HAPPENS IS THE STORY. THIS ENTIRE FILM CREATES A AURA OF SRI RAMA. THE SONGS ARE BEAUTIFUL. THIS MOVIE LOOKS LITTLE BIT BORING. BUT YOU CAN TRY ONCE.

I went to see Sri Ramadasu with lot of expectations. No doubt it is a guge hit (I brought the ticket in black). I saw 'Shankarabharanam' over 20 times and thught this film would be better than that coming after 25 years of that and what a disappontment.
This picturization is like Stree drama with few jokers & buffoons thrown in. Characters of ANR are Sujatha are unpalatable without wahtsoever conviction. Liberty for film is fine but to expect audience to be so dumb is unfathomable. And it is high time they stop paiting Rama and Krishna in Blue. I thought Rama and Krishna looked better in B/W films rather than in colour films in the forrific Blue. And whole body in blue but for eye-lashes shows the carelessness and amareurish effort. And its time prortraying Suman as Rama etc.. At 50+ and Aging Rama with swelvte Sita with funny expressions on their face is big let down. The film is full of caricatures and sets resemble Drama screen. The Story is very patchy. And great injustice done to Ramadasu Kirtanas with situation selection and the picturization. Nagarjuna and Sneha are just passable. Andho mein Kaana Raja. If Sankarabahanam can be rated at at 8/10 then this film is 1/10. Pompous statements ny Producer and all sundry concerned, in all respects this is very poor film. But so far cash rings who is complaining. Surely give it a miss guyz.
